The School of Art, Design and Architecture is delighted to introduce The Burberry Scholarship - a prestigious scholarship for an international student studying fashion at the University of Huddersfield, to be awarded by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey MBE.
Applicants for the scholarship must demonstrate outstanding academic performance which they are able to evidence within their course application and supporting portfolio of art work. The recipient of this award will be personally selected by Christopher Bailey, who is an Honorary Doctorate of the University of Huddersfield.The bursary will be awarded in the form of partial waivers against tuition fees.
Christopher Bailey was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Burberry in November 2009, a newly created position in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the brand since his appointment as Burberry Creative Director in May 2001. In his role as Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey is responsible for the design of all Burberry collections and products, as well as all advertising, corporate art direction, architectural design, multi-media content and overall brand image for Burberry.
