Art & Design is a global language, it crosses many boundaries and has no limits.
The Postgraduate programmes endorse this and have been designed to respond to growing needs of internationalisation of the curricula, global markets and the importance of creativity aligned to commerce; enabling students to make decisions, be creative, be confident and articulate, be worldly wise, cross-cultural and ethically work contributing positively to society.
The MA programme in the School of Art, Design & Architecture is designed on a principal of both individual and collaborative thinking and an inter-disciplinary MA community.
Currently the disciplines include Spatial Design, 3D Digital Design, International Fashion Design, International Graphic Design Practice, International Design Marketing & Communication, Textiles, Fine Art and Digital Media.
This encourages and enables important interaction and cross disciplinary relationships to be explored, developed and extended which enhances knowledge and understanding of the contemporary art and design practitioner, and extends your ‘craft’, inquisitively, intellectually and practically.
The MA programme is developed through three phases and allows for the development of both personal ambitions and aspirations and the enhancement of professional or career opportunities.
Opportunities are offered for both collaboration and individual practice through both ‘common’ modules and ‘subject specific/discipline’ modules.
