Visits by School academics

Our team of academic staff fly many thousands of air miles to meet applicants in their home country.

If you are currently outside the UK then do check below to see if we are visiting your country soon. Then look out for local adverts on tv, radio, in newspapers and even the streets. Alternatively contact one of our in-country representatives – details for local representatives working for the University are available on the University International pages

Since September 2008, School academics (many of them senior staff, Professors etc.) have visited: Bahrain, Bulgaria, China (Xi’an, Hong Kong), Denmark, France, Greece (Athens), India (New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Srinagar, Nagpur, Secunderabad, Vijawada), Iran, Kenya, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan (Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore), Saudi Arabia.

If you wish to apply to the University for entry in 2010-11, we are currently planning to be visiting some of you in your own country from September 2009, as follows:

• Hong Kong: the Dean of our School will be meeting local representatives and collaborative partners 14-18 September 2009
• India: from 5-15 October (exact dates to be confirmed); again in May/June 2010
• Bulgaria: 7-10 November (Integral World Education Fairs – one of our senior academics (Bulgarian speaker) will be attending with Linda Hartland from our European Office)
• Nigeria/Ghana/Cameroon: 5-13 November ((exact dates to be confirmed) working at several offices of one of our key in-country representatives: Global Education Counselling)
• Greece/Cyprus: Education UK events in Athens and Lefkosia between 7-13 November 2009

Then more to follow in 2010:

• Bahrain/Kuwait: January
• Syria/Libya: February
• France/Denmark/Poland: March/April
• Also planning to be in: China, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia

Contact our Local Representatives

The University of Huddersfield works closely with many organisations for recruitment. These companies form a network of official representatives around the world. We strongly recommend that you use a representative to apply to the University – they know about our courses, our entry requirements, and can advise you on practical matters such as your visa applications. In short, they make the entire application process much easier for you.

When visiting your country, School staff will visit our representatives’ offices specifically to conduct interviews and make offers of places and scholarships.
