Software:
Windows NT Graphic User Interface providing the following test functionality:

  • Generation of Sinusoidal, Square or Triangular wave forms, either
    at a constant frequency or as a frequency sweep.
  • Linking of the wheel pans either by axle or by side.
  • Recording test information using a datalogger program.
  • Storing of configurations allowing easy retrieval of tests.
  • Generation of drive files ultising DCS_ICS analysis to replicate track response date measured on the car.
  • Replay of time history files, either through a replay module, or from an external source using analogue inputs.
  • Full control of Hydraulic pressure, including ramping and parking of
    the actuators.
  • Endurance testing using a Block Programmer application.

2off AC Transient Dynamometers, 4 Quadrant Regenerative Drive with Motoring and Absorbing Capability.

The dynamometers are connected to the hubs of the vehicle drive shafts and as such this enables very accurate matching of true driving conditions by eliminating the tyre-roller interface.

Modal Analysis Testing

Modal analysis of automotive structural assemblies using LMS facilities.

LMS Test Lab Software + Scadas III Hardware system can be used for a wide range of noise and vibration testing. It includes a high speed multichannel data acquisition system, (8 24-bit channels up to 200KHz), and software that enables the determination of frequency response functions of vibrating components or more generally complete modal analysis to be carried out on automotive equipment that can be used to validate finite element analysis.
