The University of Huddersfield's School of Computing and Engineering is recognised as being one of foremost providers of well qualified graduates in the UK.

We are committed to providing a professional learning experience and focus on preparing our students for careers in their chosen discipline. Our reputation for teaching quality, excellent research facilities and strong links with industry consistently enable us to produce the types of graduates that industry requires.

Work placements are periods of vocational training and experience and are an important part of a student's course. All of our full-time degree courses offer the option of a sandwich placement and we place up to 200 students each year in companies such as Microsoft, Nestle, Cummins and BMW, as well as a large number of smaller local and regional businesses.

Many of our students return from their placements with sponsorship and the offer of a permanent job from their host company, and this is reflected in our excellent graduate employability record. [Read more in our news pages]
