Exceptional candidates from non-academic backgrounds with a proven track record in industry and commerce will also be considered. Those with non-traditional backgrounds but with evidence of skill and/or a portfolio of work which meets the admission standards of the course will also be considered.
Articulation arrangements for those exceptionally entering the programme directly at PGDip or MA Phases are that candidates must satisfy the criteria for either the PGCert or PGDip Level Descriptors as APL criteria, as normal postgraduate admissions for the University of Huddersfield.

There is a huge and exciting range of opportunities, both nationally and internationally, for creative producers. Innovative, eclectic, creative thinkers and practitioners lead where others follow in both the public and private sector. In addition to the many forms of journalism, media planning, and PR and advertising campaigns, there is the field of promotional strategies and communication planning to name just a few.
The education sector or further doctoral study are also options.
For details of course fees please call the Student Finance Office on 01484 473904.
We aim to offer an environment which celebrates and interrogates the blurring of subject boundaries where, for example, fine artists can influence and work with fashion designers, or digital media students influence and work with international design marketing and communication students.
The components of the MA course ensure a structural educational cohesion. Key to this is the use of a Learning Agreement, which will act as a joint contract between tutor and learner. The agreement will be used to plan deadlines, and to manage the process of learning toward the achievement of their award. The Learning Agreement will allow you to negotiate your own learning outcomes within a project plan. The tutor will ensure that those learning outcomes are carefully considered in terms of time, resources and your capabilities, and that they fit the MA level descriptors. The Learning Agreement allows for maximum ownership of the subject of study for the student. Reflective journals allow for a critical analysis of research.
