Introduction

This two year full-time course leads to the award of an HND in Business and Management.

The HND is widely recognised by the professions, and has a proven track record in industry and commerce. It is a course which provides appropriate relevant skills and knowledge for the workforce to meet the challenges of the new millennium.

The course aims to provide a broad-based introduction to business subjects and a focus on administration and management. It covers the major business areas of personnel, marketing, financial accounting and law. There is also an opportunity to examine managerial skills and competencies such as Managing Group Behaviour, Business Planning and Entrepreneurship.

Huddersfield University Business School additionally provides the opportunity to top-up the HND qualification to a BA(Hons) Business Administration and Management through direct entry to the final year of the degree programme.
