Introduction

MEng degrees are designed to provide a fast-track route to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status for high-achieving entrants. This course is designed to completely satisfy the educational requirements for CEng, and for accreditation by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), which leads to registration as a Chartered Engineer.

As an MEng graduate you will have achieved high levels of knowledge and skill in engineering and technical management, which will increase your potential to rise to senior positions of responsibility at an early stage in your career.

The course will develop your knowledge and skills across a broad range of control, electronic and computer-based systems areas, including Master's level modules at final year, and in the management/business dimension required for engineering management. Team-working is particularly important, and is emphasised through the Year 2 Enterprise module and the final-year multidisciplinary Group Project.
