The School is a growing and vibrant part of the University of Huddersfield.
We offer a wide range of courses, primarily in education and youth work. Our courses are characterised by flexible study options, work-based learning and professional development.
The largest area of our work is teacher, lecturer and tutor training. We offer primary and secondary school, further education, college and higher education training for people looking to work in the area or needing to gain recognised teaching qualifications, including Cert. Ed, BA and PGCEs. If you are interested in a career in teaching, our website includes a guide to entering teaching.
We have continuing professional development courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels (BA, MA, MSc). Specialist routes include action research in teaching and learning, early childhood studies, education leadership and management, higher education practice, integrated services, post-compulsory education and training and international education.
We offer courses for other staff working in education, including administrators, learning support workers and early years practitioners including the new Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) qualification. We offer a range of courses from Foundation Degrees based largely around work-based learning through top up degrees to masters programmes.
