What is Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)?Early Years Professionals are central to raising the quality of early years provision. The Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is responsible for supporting the delivery of workforce reform in the early years sector. One of their key priorities is the development of Early Years Professional Status. The government aims to have Early Years Professionals (EYPs) in all Children’s Centres offering early years provision and in every full day care setting.
To become an EYP, you need to gain Early Years Professional Status. This is not just a qualification - it’s an essential new status that will recognise your expertise as a practitioner and a professional leader. If you would like to know more about EYPS opportunities and careers in the early years sector, you can find out more by visiting the website of the Children's Workforce Development Council, www.cdcouncil.org.uk or by calling 0845 045 0048.
