The School of Education and Professional Development are happy to welcome you to your period of study with us. We are committed to ensuring that this journey fulfils your aspirations and that the quality and level of your research output attains the highest standards. Much of our academic research work was judged during the 2008 RAE process as being of world class standard and we are keen to ensure that we provide this significant level of support to you.

Our full-time and part-time researchers are encouraged to communicate, face-to-face and on-line and by attending School research events; to provide peer support, to share research knowledge and to learn from each other.

Your study with us not only provides the opportunity to fulfil valuable research but to extend your peer group beyond those engaged in education research with participation in the wider university research community. This is encouraged with research activities provided by the central University Research Office.
