The team has responsibility for assessing financial risks of proposals for research and enterprise activities which are funded from external sources. This responsibility includes costing proposals and providing advice on pricing. All proposals for external research and enterprise funding must be channelled through the team before submission.
The Team also has responsibility for the financial aspects of the University’s 100+ collaborative provision agreements worldwide. This includes compiling full costings for new proposals and partnerships, providing advice on pricing strategies and business cases and also undertaking due diligence reports on new partners.
The Team’s final responsibility is the financial contract management of externally-funded research and enterprise projects from sources such as the Research Councils, government departments, charitable trusts and foundations, European Structural Funds, Yorkshire Forward and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) with total grant income of £25 million.
