Division of Mental Health
We are an enthusiastic and motivated team with a commitment to quality education, research and partnership working. Mental Health Nursing is our main area of work however we have input to a range of courses applicable to changing mental health service workforce needs. A recent development has included the MSc Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy course. This course includes the PG Dip requirement for High Intensity workers within Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Services (IAPT).
Research and scholarship are fundamental to our work and several staff are currently undertaking Doctoral level studies. The individual staff profiles will give you more information about individuals’ specific expertise and interests.
Service user and carer involvement is a valued and developing area of our work. We liaise closely with partner agencies to develop and deliver our courses and to engage in research and collaborative events.
