ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
This conference was of interest to psychologists, sociologists and a wide range of health and social care professionals concerned with or interested in narrative and issues surrounding memory. The theme of 'knowledge' had been selected as an broad term to explore how individuals narrate the self and interpret past experiences through 'representations' and the processes of 'aesthetics' in various daily social 'contexts'.
Areas of interest included:
- The narrative experiences of health, leisure and education transitions
- Professional and other work contexts and knowledge construction.
- Methodological and theoretical issues relating to knowledge, narration and interpretation
