7 September to 9 September 2010
The Centre for Research in the Social Sciences and the Centre for Health and Social Care Research are hosting this international and interdisciplinary conference at the University of Huddersfield to explore how people live and experience their personal and public lives.
The conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners. It will examine the interface between the personal and the public in order to offer insight into the multiple and diverse roles, relationships, and responsibilities that shape people’s everyday lives.
We particularly encourage critical perspectives on different theoretical and methodological approaches, emergent ideas, and empirical findings.
Anonymised abstracts will be reviewed by an international, multi-disciplinary scientific committee.
Papers will be considered for oral or poster presentations.
Authors of oral presentations should plan to speak for 20 minutes and allow 10 minutes for comments and questions.
Offers of papers and abstracts of 250 words should be sent by Friday 9th April 2010 (Extended Deadline). Please use 12 point Arial font if possible.
Selected papers may be invited to go forward for development into chapters for publication in an edited book. The decision whether to proceed to publication will be taken by the Organising Chairs and Scientific Committee.
The presenting author should be first author on a paper. Please provide the following information for this author:
