We will be pleased to consider individual applications from potential visiting students to come and spend an academic year studying at the University of Huddersfield. Please note that unless we have a formal reciprocal agreement with your university or you are planning to come here under the ISEP or ERASMUS schemes, we will not be able to waive tuition fees.
ERASMUS (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students) is a special programme provided by the European Commission, which enables university and other higher education students and academic staff to spend a particular period of time at a partner university within the EU. The programme was launched in 1987 and it was designed to help to deepen international cooperation among universities across Europe. It is named after a Dutch humanist and theologian Erasmus of Rotterdam.
The ERASMUS programme includes both student and staff exchange. Please contact your relevant department to find out if there are relationships established within your field of study.
A number of University staff have undertaken visiting lectureships in partner institutions. The University has also been pleased to receive visiting lecturers from some of our partners. Visiting lecturers normally spend one week in the partner institution.

The University of Huddersfield recommends, as its preferred and approved accommodation, the Storthes Hall Park Village and Ashenhurst Student Village. These are independent of the University and privately owned. These are available in purpose-built Halls of Residence, all within easy access to the campus.
The University continues to welcome famous and influential visitors to its campus.
