The BMus Music is the ideal course to pursue Brass Band Studies. As a brass band musician, you would have an unrivalled quantity of individual tuition by a range of specialists, including members of internationally acclaimed brass bands (Black Dyke, Grimethorpe, YBS, Brighouse and Rastrick), composers and arrangers for brass.
Major route performers receive one hour per week individual tuition:
| Cornet | Phillip McCann (ex-principal cornet Black Dyke Mills, cond. Sellers) |
| Soprano cornet | Phillip McCann (ex-principal cornet Black Dyke Mills, cond. Sellers) |
| Flugel horn | Phillip McCann (ex-principal cornet Black Dyke Mills, cond. Sellers) |
| Tenor horn | Melvyn Bathgate (principal tenor horn, Brighouse and Rastrick) |

| Trombone | Jonathan Beatty (soloist with Yorkshire Building Society) |
| Tuba | Shaun Crowther (Grimethorpe Colliery Band) |
