Drama Open Day Information

Selection Day Workshops

In addition, we have Selection Day Workshops throughout the year for candidates who have applied to us through UCAS or via part-time application form. As soon as your application is received, it will be read, and if we think that you suit the course or that the course will suit you, we will invite you to a Selection Day. On that day you may attend an interview and then you will participate in a 90 minute workshop, where we look at your focus, concentration and creativity. After that there is the opportunity to hear about the course structure and general information about the department. For further information email: Tim Moss or telephone 01484 478405.

History Open Day Information

As well as participating in the university open days, the History department runs a series of open days mainly for those who have already applied through UCAS. These are held in the Spring term. There is a tour of the accommodation at the student village at Storthes Hall, a tour of the campus led by current students, a talk by the admissions tutor or head of History, and an opportunity to meet staff and students. Details are sent to all UCAS applicants. We are happy for potential applicants to attend these open days. Please contact the Course Assistant on 01484472606 or email History Admissions.

History Focus Days

These provide a taster of university life, consisting of a history lecture and seminar, as well as advice on how to apply to university. They are for groups from schools and colleges. If you are a teacher and would like to bring your students please contact Joanne Ricketts.

Modern Languages Open Day Information

For those who cannot come to an Open Day, we also have drop-in sessions during term time. Please contact the Modern Languages Co-ordinator to arrange a convenient time if you'd like to pay us a visit.

Media Open Day

Media has a rolling programme of open days for all of its courses.

Individual tutors will be on hand, to explain the attractions of each course and to answer any queries.

Admissions tutors will be happy to answer any questions about entry requirements.

"I feel that my time at Huddersfield has entirely shaped my life today in terms of the skills I acquired and the experience I gained. The course was both challenging and rewarding and I will always be proud to have studied within such a strong and respected department."
