This meeting, in celebration of the 65th birthday of Professor Michael Page, will be held in the Canalside West Building of the University of Huddersfield on the 16th December 2009.
Whilst attendance at the meeting is free and includes a light buffet lunch; delegates are asked to register in advance to allow for catering arrangements to be made.
Those wishing to register for the meeting should send an e-mail to Ms Loretta Stoklosa providing the names of those people attending and any special dietary requirements
As part of the meeting we would like to encourage Postgraduate Students and Postdoc. Research fellows to present their work as posters. The work will be judged by a local panel and a prize awarded to the best posters. If you are intending to submit a poster please could you e-mail Ms Loretta Stoklosa
Huddersfield is located in the centre of England between Manchester and Leeds. There are good road and rail links to Huddersfield from the major cities in the UK and people wishing to travel by car and train should consult the University’s web based travel guide.
For those travelling from abroad, could I recommend using Manchester Airport as there is a very regular train service from the Airport to Huddersfield.
The Conference will take place in the Canalside West lecture theatres (building 16 on the campus map). All lectures will be in room CWS/10 and registration/posters and refreshments will be in room CWG/01.
There is very limited car-parking on the University Campus and conference delegates are advised to use local town centre car parks which are a short walking distance from the central campus. A map identifying the location of the town centre car parks can be printed from the University website.
Further information about the meeting can be obtained from Dr Andrew Laws
We are currently seeking sponsors for each of the lectures; if you would like to sponsor a lecture or provide an exhibition at the meeting please contact Dr Andrew Laws (a.p.laws@hud.ac.uk or tel: 01484-472668)
