Whether you are interested in undergraduate or postgraduate study, the University of Huddersfield’s Schools and Colleges Liaison Team can be found at a series of events held throughout the year, designed to help you make the right choices about your future.
As well as careers fairs in schools and colleges across the region, we will be staging at least three undergraduate open days during 2009, allowing you the chance to visit the university and specific individual subject areas where you will be able to chat to academics and current students.
We can also be found at a series of UCAS Fairs during Spring/Summer 2009, held across the U.K.., and we continue to offer post-16 students the opportunity to attend our Focus Days – a chance to sample a particular subject area prior to making your university application.
Focus Days are subject specific events which allow students the chance to experience what it might be like to study a particular subject in Higher Education. They are provided for post-16 students (ie. those studying A Levels, Advanced Diplomas, BTEC or Access courses).
The days are delivered by our academic specialists and involve working with current University students who are studying on relevant courses.
Recent Focus Days have included: Applied Criminology, History, English, ICT, Human Resource Management, Business Studies and Religion and Education.
