The University of Huddersfield warmly welcomes students from over 80 countries each year. The university has been the academic home to many international students over the last 50 years. Their presence has enriched campus life and helped to create the friendly cosmopolitan atmosphere on which so many of our visitors comment. The Business School accepts many international students every year both from European Union countries and from countries across the globe.
The Business School carries out regular visits to overseas countries and has appointed country and regional managers as part of our International Recruitment Team.
University of Huddersfield Business School is a thriving centre of student excellence based upon four departments specialising in Marketing and Management, Business Studies, Law and Accountancy.

The University has achieved the highest scores available in a Government quality review in 2004. The UK's Quality Assurance Agency, reviewed five academic areas including Business Studies and Accountancy as a measure of the overall quality of the University.
The report praises good practice in student induction and support, supervision and personal tutorial arrangements and the continual focus on student needs.
Huddersfield also tops the league for teaching quality over all the 'new universities' (former Polytechnics) in the North of England according to league tables published by the Times Higher Education Supplement (2005). For the whole of the UK Huddersfield gains an impressive second place for quality teaching among the post-1992 universities (former Polytechnics).
The Business School consistently performs well in the UK’s annual National Student Survey and we produced some excellent results in the most recent (2008) survey.
Amongst the top ten nationally the Department of Accountancy delivered an exceptional result in the student satisfaction rating in the confidential survey completed by students at every university in the UK. The Department came 4th out of 66 in the accountancy subject area nationally providing the best rating of any accountancy department at a Yorkshire and Humberside region university.
The department received an overall satisfaction rating of 96% from its students who amongst other categories rated the quality of academic support (80%), learning resources (85%) and personal development (81%).
High satisfaction levels were also registered at other subject areas across the Business School with overall satisfactions levels of 81% for Marketing, 88% for Law, 75% for Leadership and Management and 81% for Business Studies.
The National Student Survey is an annual review of student satisfaction carried out by the Government’s university funding agency, the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
In the survey, the students were asked questions based on several key criteria, which included such things as the quality of teaching, overall academic support and learning resources available, as well as the student’s overall level of satisfaction.
